Dr Peter Berry qualified in medicine from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2000.
He received his initial anaesthetic training in the East Midlands, at hospitals including Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham and the Royal Derby Hospitals before moving to Essex. He then underwent further extensive training at Barts and the London School of Anaesthesia. Most notable was his advanced training in anaesthesia for burns and plastic surgery at the world famous St Andrew’s Centre, Chelmsford and post-fellowship training in children’s anaesthesia at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Dr Berry has particular interests in several areas of anaesthesia including regional anaesthesia (nerve block injections), children’s anaesthesia and staff training. He has regular commitments in plastic surgery, hand surgery and care of patients with major burn injury.
Outside of medicine he enjoys time with his family, church, the great outdoors and keeping chickens.
