Dr David O'Hara

Dr David O’Hara qualified in 2000 from University College London Medical School

He completed specialist training in Anaesthesia at Barts and The London hospitals, developing an interest in trauma and worked on New Zealands Air Ambulance service.  

David undertook a Burns and plastics fellowship with advanced training in anaesthesia for burns and plastic surgery at the world famous St Andrew’s Centre, Chelmsford and advanced training in pediatric anaesthesia at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

He achieved specialist accreditation and was appointed Consultant in Anaesthesia at Broomfield Hospital in 2010.

Areas of specialist clinical interest include Anaesthesia for Breast Reconstruction, facial and hand surgery.  Dr O’Hara has a particular expertise in Paediatric Anaesthesia, Regional Anaesthesia, emergency Anaesthesia and pre-operative assessment including Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET).

On a personal level, Dr O’Hara enjoys cooking, scuba diving, and teaching.
